{"id":1278,"date":"2022-05-15T12:46:43","date_gmt":"2022-05-15T12:46:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lichtoplevens.nl\/?p=1278"},"modified":"2023-06-07T16:03:46","modified_gmt":"2023-06-07T16:03:46","slug":"traumacounsellors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lichtoplevens.nl\/en\/traumacounsellors\/","title":{"rendered":"Trauma counsellors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friends of Esthers focuses on survivors of satanic ritual abuse who have developed dissociative identity disorder and who have evidence of ongoing abuse.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lasting escape from the satanic cult is therefore not possible without intensive therapy and a process of healing.  The cult keeps a grip on these broken and precious people by splitting them up into parts that do not always know what they are doing. Intensive trauma treatment is needed to break through the memory barriers between the different person parts.<br>We are looking for adults who - in addition to the qualities mentioned under 'network friends' - have some experience with trauma processing. A willingness to hear horrific memories and to witness the very intense emotions (fear, shame, guilt, disgust) that processing entails is necessary. In addition, a willingness to learn is especially important, both from the survivor and from those on whose shoulders you may stand, through their teaching, books and articles. An HBO\/WO education in psychology or other social science is an advantage. But extensive pastoral experience and knowledge gained, for example, by attending courses can be an equally good starting point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What do we ask?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Adult Christians with some experience in trauma treatment.<\/li><li>Experience in dealing with strong emotions that affect you personally.<\/li><li>Willingness to learn and ability to deal with feedback.<\/li><li>Wanting to enter into a long-term commitment with a survivor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What do we offer?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to what is mentioned under 'network friends':<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Guidance from an experienced psychologist.<\/li><li>Intervision with other trauma counsellors.<\/li><li>Financial compensation.<\/li><li>Prayer support.<\/li><\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Friends of Esthers richt zich op overlevers van satanisch ritueel misbruik die een dissociatieve identiteitsstoornis hebben ontwikkeld en bij wie aanwijzingen zijn dat zij nog steeds worden misbruikt.&nbsp;&nbsp;
