For some time now, we have been welcoming a survivor into our home. The first big step towards real freedom that this person has made is a fact and we are allowed to be a part of it. How special that is!

The first few days the transition for this person was very big, but soon we see someone who becomes freer, who becomes more cheerful, who dares to express an opinion and starts to live.

The fact that the doors have to be locked, digital items placed in a safe, key-holders are not allowed to roam around and you can never just leave makes it take some getting used to at first, but seeing the process of freedom in action is really cool.

Thanks to the support of many others, we can do this, she can get the therapy she needs and we can give her a safe place. I hope that many more families, survivors who dare to take this step and financial resources will come, so that we can help even more people step into this freedom.
